Who Are The Bilderberg Group?

In the 1950s, not long after the Cold War began, a secretive organisation convened in the Netherlands for the first time Six decades later, this annual meeting has been accused of everything – from promoting communism to working towards creating the New World Order

Hello, I’m Robin from Alltime Conspiracies and today we’ll be looking at this secret group Who are they? And what they are really trying to accomplish? This is The Bilderberg Group: Declassified The Bilderberg Group’s origins can be traced to post-war Europe The Soviet Union had control of Eastern Europe by 1955 This Soviet influence worried many people, like Polish politician Jozef Retinger

He viewed the rise of anti-American sentiment in Europe as potentially leading to another world war Retinger, together with Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands and Belgian Prime Minister Paul van Zeeland, proposed an international conference to promote European-American relations Attending this conference were fifty men from eleven European nations representing liberal and conservative viewpoints, and eleven Americans The event was held at the Hotel de Bilderberg in Oosterbeek in the Netherlands The group took its name from the hotel

It went so well that the conference became an annual affair, and the Bilderberg Group was born Since then representatives from the worlds of finance, politics and industry have gathered every year under a cloak of secrecy Its members consist of the rich and powerful Due to the mysterious nature of the meetings, conspiracy theories have dogged the group for decades Professor Andrew Kakabadse says their main aim is to bolster and spread Western free-market Capitalism around the world

However, one of the most common theories is that they are pushing towards creating a single world government Conspiracy theorists Mark Dice and Stephen Lendman claim Bilderberg is the public front for the New World Order The Bilderberg Group has worked to orchestrate wars to keep the public docile, to eliminate the middle classes to create a “master and slave” society; and they use the UN to target nations for destruction Radio show personality Alex Jones accused Bilderberg of attempting to rig the 2016 presidential election against Donald Trump Why? Well, Bilderberg does have a knack for inviting future world leaders to events

Past attendees invited before their rise to power include Gerald Ford, Margaret Thatcher, Bill Clinton and Tony Blair, leading many to suspect that their elections were rigged Bilderberg represents the establishment, and the establishment like to control democracy The group has been known to organise conferences to promote their favoured candidates in elections, such as Herman Van Rompuy’s bid for the President of the European Council But what’s the official truth of the Bilderberg Group? Meetings are governed by a steering committee They convene twice a year to set the agenda for the next conference

They also compile the guest list of 120 people from 18 nations across Europe and North America The current chairman of the steering committee is Henri de Castries, a French count and current CEO of AXA insurance This reflects the caliber of people usually invited to Bilderberg; high powered elites from finance and government The idea, according to former chairman Etienne Davignon, is to provide a 4 day conference for Western people of importance in which a free and open exchange of opinions can take place And according to a 2008 press release from the “American Friends of Bilderberg”, no press briefing takes place, no resolutions are proposed, no votes taken and no policy statements are issued

People at the meetings are free to use information from the conference But they cannot reveal who gave them the information, why they gave it, or who they’re affiliated with The Group never meets in the same place twice When they move into an area, usually a five star resort or hotel, heavy security is set in place to keep protesters, journalists and even local residents at bay The invitation list has included important members of the press like columnists and editors from the Washington Post, NBC News, The Economist, the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times

But the mainstream media never reports on the Bilderberg Group Journalist Charlie Skelton went to the 2015 conference in Austria He said that Bilderberg set up radar stations, no-fly zones and established a substantial militarised police presence In 2014, journalists Luke Rudkowski and Dan Dicks were arrested for following the conference in Copenhagen At the 2016 meeting in Dresden, Rudkowski, Dicks and other journalists were harassed and detained by police again

So with this web of secrecy, what can we say about Bilderberg with any degree of certainty? Perhaps the best source is from the participants themselves Former British MP and founding member Denis Healy stated in an interview in 2001… “To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair … We felt a single community throughout the world would be a good thing” Meanwhile, journalist Tony Gosling says that Bilderberg meetings are the birthplace of big political projects, like the European Union The Bilderberg Group has existed for over 60 years, yet secrecy is still very much is part of the annual conference

People from both ends of the political spectrum see the unaccountability of what goes on behind those closed doors, and the opportunity it provides for international lobbying, as a potential threat But former chairman Etienne Davignon said to the BBC in 2005, accusations of conspiracies are unavoidable and irrelevant “If we were a secret government of the world, we should be bloody ashamed of ourselves”
